Prompt: A Plight of Insanity? Surely not!
Music: Spring Awakening musical soundtrack
And etc: Rebellious Poets
Since both Jinx and Xan are telling me to post, this is Asuka’s first (and feeble) attempt at a post…let’s see…
I like animals. Animals like me. w00t?
Needless to say, this post publishing page has lots of buttons, and I am still trying to figure everything out on this website. Laugh at me all you want, I’m an Animal Science major. I’m supposed to be good at opening animals and poking their insides, not computer(/internet?/web? cold feet, cold toes?) blogs.
ANYHOO
What is our prompt? Our comments on the website? First, kudos to Jinx and Xan; you guys are amazing. Yes, I know my bio is quite short…I’ll lengthen it ASAP.
So it took me 10 minutes to log in and write up to this much…once again, I’m a n00b at computer/(internet/web) blogs, but I shall continue to try.
Oh
I never answered the prompt (btw, why isn’t the post single-spaced? Am I not doing something correct?). I like the overall web design; the lolcats idea: please explain in detail. And haikus pwn limericks, you stupid males.
haha, yes, a 15min post. I’m proud.
Oh
so apparently I forgot lots and lots of things. oops.
Oh, and since I’m the 4th person, I get to write the title of the haiku…but first!
My culture demands this tutorial for you n00bs:
1) kigo (季語), directly translated as season word, is a requirement in every haiku. Unfortunately, the English “haiku” does not abide by this rule, and recently “modern” haiku also eliminates kigos..but such haiku often is not accepted as a true “haiku”
2) haiku has 8 rules that can’t be broken (which we will no doubt break). Of the 8 that is applicable to English haiku is as follows:
- one must not compose a haiku w/o a kigo.
- one must not compose a haiku w/ too many kigo.
- one must not compose a haiku about daydreams.
- one must not compose a haiku that does not abide the 5/7/5 rule.
- one must not compose a haiku that openly depicts deep emotion.
- one must not compose a haiku that exaggerates deep emotion.
- one must not compose a haiku that is unoriginal.
Once again, we’ll prolly break all of these rules. But for anyone who may find this important.
Aiite, so you guys prolly figured out why I chose the title.
